His works tell the creation stories of his ancestral lands and waters, spanning the Lower River Murray and Lakes, the Coorong, the South Coast, and Kangaroo Island. He began painting at age eight, inspired by his family, developing a style rich with cultural symbols such as lizards, snakes, and corroboree figures. Over his career, Cedric has: Completed community murals (including a youth-focused mural at Port Pirie Police Station). Received an Arts SA ATSI development grant to refine his techniques. Exhibited widely, with works held in public and private collections across Australia and overseas. Twice won the Port Augusta Malka Art Prize (2010 and 2014). Through his partnership with Better World Arts, Cedric’s artworks are showcased in galleries and reproduced on a wide range of ethical products, from textiles to ceramics.
