Handmade Glass Cigar Humidor Tubes with Aromatherapy for Ring Gauge 34-50, Portable Cigar Storage Set
$ 28.08
I got this for my spouse, who loves cigars. To be honest, I was skeptical, but was pleasantly surprised. Firstly, this product arrived packaged very well with lots of Styrofoam and bubble wrap. The product itself also looks really cool – even if you didn’t get much use out of it, it would add a kind of modern mad scientist vibe just sitting on a shelf. The frame is wood, and the cigar tubes and infuser jars are sturdy, thick glass. We started off by using some small, lower-quality cigars and tried them with three different kinds of alcohol (whiskey, vodka, and absinthe), ground coffee, and lavender, and let them sit for about a week (the instructions say to wait 5-7 days, so we erred on the side of more time). The only difficulty we had was that the jars that hold the infuser are pretty small, and only someone with a steady hand would be able to fill them without spillage. It would have been helpful to have a small funnel or something. Also, it can be a little tricky to place the infuser jars, as they will easily tip over if the tube that holds the cigar isn’t in place. I’m not a regular cigar smoker, so I thought the added flavors were pretty subtle. My spouse, as a much more avid cigar smoker, found the added flavor much stronger and didn’t care for some of them. But I liked the subtle flavor additions. (For anyone who’s curious, the whiskey, vodka, and absinthe gave strong flavors, especially the vodka. The ground coffee was milder, and the lavender was much more subtle. We plan to try more herb flavors, but thought adding them to a tasteless alcohol like high-quality vodka, or Everclear, would make them stronger). I wasn’t sure if my spouse would like this product, but he did, and he plans to do more experimenting with different infusion flavors and brands/qualities of cigars. He thought that using lower-quality cigars might have influenced the harshness of the taste. He also thought that flavored cigars would be fun to make for parties or as an addition to a whiskey or wine tasting. At the time of this review, this product was $39.99. I haven’t ever seen this kind of product before, and it doesn’t seem very common, but judging on quality alone – nevermind the novelty – this seems like a really good price. This product is of very good quality, looks unique, and would be a great gift for any cigar enthusiast!
