Kapok is a very light weight plant fibre with a hollow structure. 80 % of kapok fibre is air! Kapok is spinned with organic cotton which strengthens the yarn. Kapok makes the fabric more porous and breathable, and it is also thermoregulating. Because of it's lightness the percentage of Kapok in the total weight of fabric is low but the percentage in the volume is higher. Vanamo baby wraps are ecological and ethically produced in Finland from pure natural materials. Because of our special weaving technique Vanamo wraps are soft, moldable and strong.
